AD Code Registration

An Authorized Dealer (AD) Code is a 14-digit numerical identifier issued by banks authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This code is essential for businesses engaged in import and export activities, as it facilitates smooth customs clearance and ensures that all international trade transactions are conducted through legitimate banking channels.

Process required for Obtaining AD Code Registration

  1. Obtain AD Code from Bank: Approach your authorized bank and request the issuance of an AD Code. The bank will provide this on their letterhead.

  2. Prepare Necessary Documents: Gather all required documents as listed above.

  3. Register on ICEGATE:

    • Visit the ICEGATE portal: https://www.icegate.gov.in/.

    • Log in with your credentials or register if you haven't done so.

    • Navigate to the "Bank Account Management" section.

    • Select "Authorized Dealer Code Registration" and click "Submit" to access the registration dashboard.

    • Click on "Add New Account" and fill in the required details, including bank name, branch, AD Code, and associated documents.

    • Upload the necessary documents, ensuring they are signed with a valid digital signature (Class-3 category).

    • Submit the application for verification.
