MAKE GROUPS OF STUDENTS AND WORK ON VOCABULARY. Give them a blank sheet to work with. EVERY GROUP MUST DO SOME OF THESE ACTIVITIES:
Step 1: Draw about the topic the teacher gives you (three minutes)
Step 2: Write names of the things that others drew
Step 3: Match the drawings with the names
Step 4: Classify the different objects.
Step 5: Make a sentence with two of the words.
Step 6: Create a glossary with the words.
Step 7: Create a story with all the words.
Step 8: Guess the word (password).
YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT.
Give instructions to your students:
You have one minute to draw a clock like this.
Then. You have 1 minute to find someone to meet you at 1h and another person to meet you at 2h. (you can ask them for more appointments: at 3h, 4h, etc.)
Now, you start your activity and they will have to work with their appointment person at time you want. (create a sentence in English, answer a question, do a rhythm…)
Shapes. You could use shapes to make relations with different categories. For example to make them understand the order of the words in a sentence.
