Find journal and submit your article
Why to publish?
Publication is considered to be one of the most important and rewarding steps upon completing your research. It is your gate to sharing your ideas and findings with others, and establishing yourself as an expert. The main aim of academic publishing is to display your work to a wider audience and thus allowing it to be peer-reviewed by academic scholars.
Methods of publishing
Conferences:
National or international.
Journals.
When/ how to decide?
It is preferable to present your research at a conference before having it published in a journal because this allows you to review your research with specialists and build relationships with the experts .
In a conference, you can either present your research as an oral pre sensation or a poster.
Some conferences may have their own journal, so when you present your poster or presentation they will give you a chance to publish your paper in their journal.
Electronic transformation and publishing of research
Electronic communications are transforming journals, and this is creating new opportunities and choices for authors. As long as an internet link is available in your home or workplace, it is easier and cheaper than ever before to submit articles to journals.
Publish your research globally:
Although many journals maintain a national or regional focus, many others are seeking to internationalize their content and cater to a world audience. This means that everyone has more places to publish, and these places have become easier to find.
Types of journals
ISI journals:
ISI stands for "International Scientific Indexing”. ISl is a server that provides indexing of the international journals and offers critical evaluation and ranking of journals through an impact factor. The impact factor is defined as the measure of how frequently an article published in a given journal is cited per year. The higher the impact factor, the more important and highly ranked the journal.
Non-ISI journals.

Factors that might influence your choice of journal
Speed of publication:
Journals with fast track procedures are highly selective about which articles are eligible for consideration, and special submission instructions are available for authors who wish to be considered.
Submission and peer review process:
Many journals are adopting internet based manuscript submission and peer review. Some of these systems provide immediate confirmation of receipt of submission and web based manuscript tracking that is accessible by the author. In addition, some journals are experimenting with new, more open, peer review procedures.
New publication formats:
Some journals are now publishing both long and short versions of articles. Some publish articles as html and pdf files and some in formats suitable for use on personal digital assistants .
Accessibility:
Some journals make the full text of their journal available free on the internet. If they do this and they participate in PubMed’s LinkOut program, any reader who finds the article on PubMed can click through to the full text. A few journals give access free from the day of publication (for example, BMJ, MJA, and CMAJ); others make their archives freely available a few months after publication For authors who are keen to maximize the accessibility of their work, the journal’s access policy is a matter to be considered.
