How to manage audio with videos in Adobe Premiere Pro?

There are two types of audio channels
Standard audio channels present audible sound. We have two main sounds which are from left and right directions. Monophonic audio has one channel, stereo sound has two channels.
Review source audio channels on import
Select Edit> Preferences> Audio, or Premiere Pro> Preference> Audio.
In the Audio Tracks section of the Audio preference dialog box, select a format from the Default track format menu. Click OK.
Modify clips
Premiere pro includes all audio channels in multichannel clips when they are added to sequences. Go to project panel and right click on the clip and select modify option and under it select audio channels.

In Premiere Pro, we have a panel known as Essential Sound panel that deals with all types of settings related to the managing music with the footages on timeline. First of all, open the dialogue clip and give it a dialogue tag. Remember, voice over clip will also get dialogue tag.
Next insert the background music clip on audio track 2 and assign it a tag names Music.
Then select ducking under the essential sound by selecting Music clip which is placed on Audio track 2. Now select option to duck against the dialogue clip in essential sound panel and then generate keyframes.
Next select special sound clip and insert on the position where we have to add that particular sound effects. Make sure to assign the special sound effects tag from essential sound panel.
Important tip: Switch to Audio workspace in order to get the all the options related to the properly audio setup.
