Rust became way more enjoyable after I started caring about how my character looks. Used to just focus on survival and base building but having cool skins adds this whole fashion element that's surprisingly fun. The clothing combinations you can make are endless and some weapon skins look absolutely incredible in the game's lighting. What's interesting is how other players react differently when you're wearing rare items - they either respect you more or target you thinking you have good loot. Been experimenting with different outfit themes like military gear or punk rock looks. You can buy skins online instead of hoping for random drops which saves tons of time
