6 Things to Know When You are Using a Defense Serum

We all want the best for our skin. That's why we use moisturizer, eye cream, and sunscreen. But there is one other product that can help your complexion look its best, a defense serum. A good defense serum is designed to protect your skin from free radicals and environmental damage, which leads to fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture. It also promotes collagen production, which keeps skin youthful, firm, and brightened.

Using a defense serum on its own or over your daytime moisturizer is easy to do but there are some tips you should follow so you get the best results possible:

1. Use a Defense Serum on a Clean Face

When you are using a defense serum, it's important to keep your face clean. A makeup remover that contains alcohol or oil can damage the skin and irritate it. If you have sensitive skin, avoid using wipes or other disposable products as well.

2. Use Defense Serum for the Whole Face

Defense serum can help with a variety of skin issues, including wrinkles and acne. But it's also great for protecting your face from the sun's harmful rays.

To use defense serum properly on the rest of your face:

• Apply it once or twice a day after cleansing and before moisturizing, or at least 20 minutes before applying any other products that contain SPF (like foundation).

• Use one pump per application; that means two pumps if you have both cheeks, four if you have cheeks plus forehead, and six, accordingly.

3. Apply Defense Serum Alone or Over Your Moisturizer

It's important to know how to apply defense serum alone or over your moisturizer so that you can get the best results from it. If you apply it alone, wait five minutes for it to absorb into your skin before applying anything else. If you're going to put on another layer of skin care products like an eye cream or face mask, make sure to wait for this period as well.

If you are going to use defense serum over a moisturizer (which is highly recommended), there are two possible scenarios:

• Your moisturizer absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any residue behind; or

• Your moisturizer takes longer than five minutes before fully absorbing into your face, in which case we recommend using less of the defense serum next time around so as not to overwhelm you with too much product at once.

4. Apply Defense Serum to Bare Skin or Over Your Daytime Moisturizer

You can apply your defense serum either directly on bare skin or over a daytime moisturizer. If you choose to apply it over a daytime moisturizer, make sure that the product has been absorbed into the skin and is not sitting on top of the surface of your skin. It's best not to use any other creams or lotions after applying your defense serum because they could interfere with its effectiveness by reducing its absorption rate through sebum production (the oil produced by sebaceous glands).

5. Avoid Sun Exposure and Heat While Using Defense Serum

• Do not use setting powder over the top of your defense serum because this can cause it to break down more quickly and also lead to an uneven appearance on your skin.

• If you're going out in the sun, make sure to apply sunscreen first before applying defense serum for added protection against harmful UV rays.

If you're planning on being outside for long periods (like if you work outdoors), remember that reapplying sunscreen is just as important as putting it on in the first place.

6. Don't use an SPF Setting Powder Over the Top of Your Defense Serum

SPF setting powders are designed to help your makeup last longer, but they can also interfere with the effectiveness of your defense serum. If you want to use an SPF setting powder, apply it after applying a thin layer of defense serum for the best results.

Conclusion:

As you can see, using defense serum is easy and there are some great tips to help you get the best results. The most important thing to remember is that you need to use it daily for it to work properly. If you don't use it every day then your skin will not have time to repair itself fully before another attack hits.
