I’m Me,

But Different

At a certain point of our lives, we would think that we have a fairly good idea of who we are. We think that we’re done with that part of our lives, our self-definition.

However, the self-definition part is never over. It is a never-ending process in which new parts of our personality are being constantly rediscovered. We can be sure of who we are at a certain point of time. But we can never be sure of who we will be in the future.

Personally, I never thought I would be who I am today. So many aspects of my life have changed over the past few months that is border-line unsettling.

People come and go in and out of our lives, and it’s up to us being who we are at that moment to react accordingly. You could mourn a lost friendship, or you could celebrate it. You’re still the same person no matter how you differently you deal with a situation.

Never blame yourself for changing to survive. You’re not supposed to please everyone, and not everyone is meant to stay. If someone cannot understand what you’re going through, then its best they don’t stay a part of it.
