Strictly fans call Amy Dowden 'brave' as she reveals terrible pain of life-long condition
Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden admitted there had been times she didn't want to carry on as she opened up about living with Chron's disease in a new documentary.
Amy, who is Welsh but lives in Dudley with her fiance dancer Ben Jones, bravely shared the painful truth of living with the condition in the BBC documentary Strictly Amy: Chron's and Me.
The 31-year-old spoke honestly about the painful symptoms and medication she had to take, as she revealed she had worried talking about the condition would affect her career.

She only decided to speak out about her treatment two years after she had first joined the team of dancing professionals on Strictly.
But she added that the show and dancing "got me through the darkest times in my illness".
Amy revealed she had been in and out of hospital every few months as a child, calling it her "second home".
And she admitted that one time she even thought she couldn't go on.

The documentary also showed horrific scenes of Amy in hospital vomiting over a bowl with a morphine drip attached.
Amy had been dancing her way through a gruelling 33 shows in the previous six weeks for the BBC show when she collapsed and was hospitalised the day after the final.
She said the pain was "like a knife stabbing you”, adding: “Until the pain makes you pass out.”

Amy spoke out about the awful symptoms she suffers including severe constipation, sickness and terrible pain.
Amy added: "I remember going in [to the hospital] and begging doctors to cut me open and take my stomach out, the pain was so bad."
She also revealed that she was so constipated when she was 16 her body 'smelt like it'.

Amy said she usually can control the pain and sickness with medication and a strict diet.
Speaking about her first Chron's attack, she said it was scary as her and her parents had no idea what was going on.
Her mum said: "It was so unpredictable really...it's the hardest thing in the world seeing your child in agony, without energy and not being able to do anything."
Viewers branded the Strictly star brave and inspirational for talking openly about how Chron's had affected her life.
