Staying Busy on Long Haul Flights

Very long flights, i.e. those that are called ‘long haul’, can be extremely challenging for a number of reasons. Stuck in a small, confined space can lead to irritation, certainly, and then there are the added annoyances of noise from other passengers as well as the aircraft itself; the problem of circulation becoming slow and sluggish thanks to long periods sitting down; and dehydration, due to the fact that moisture on a plane is deliberately decreased in order to release some of the weight of the air within the vehicle. There are a number of ways you can prepare to face these challenges, however, and some of them are extremely simple, such as drinking plenty of water and fluid in the 48 hours leading up to your flight. A range of easy measures like this can make your flight much more pleasant indeed.
